Editorial Policy

MoneyPulsar publishes plain-English guides on budgeting, debt, saving, investing and retirement for readers in the United States and Pakistan. This page explains how our articles are researched, written, checked, updated and corrected, so you can judge how far to rely on them.
Who Is Responsible for Our Content
MoneyPulsar is run by Syed Hamza Hasnain, Founder & Editor. He is responsible for what we publish and has final say on every article. You can read more about him and the site on our About page. We do not list credentials, licenses or outside reviewers that we do not have, and we do not describe any article as “expert-reviewed” unless a named, qualified reviewer actually reviewed it.
How We Research
- We start from primary and official sources wherever they exist, rather than from other blogs.
- For US topics this typically means the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and its investor site Investor.gov, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
- For Pakistan topics this typically means the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
- Where we use data from other organizations (for example, published surveys or rate data), we name the source, link to it, and give the date or period the data covers.
- If we cannot find a reliable source for a claim, we leave the claim out.
How We Write: AI-Assist Disclosure
We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines and first drafts. AI output is never published as-is: every article is edited, fact-checked and approved by a human before it goes live, and a human is accountable for everything we publish. We do not use AI to invent quotes, sources, statistics, people or personal experiences.
Human Review and Fact-Checking
Before an article is published, it is reviewed by a person for accuracy, clarity and fairness. Our fact-checking focuses on the details readers act on:
- Numbers, rates, limits and dates are checked against the original source.
- Calculations and examples are recalculated, and illustrations are labelled as illustrations with their assumptions stated.
- Links are checked to make sure they work and point to the right page.
- Claims that depend on someone’s circumstances are written as general information, not as instructions.
Updates and “Last Updated” Dates
Financial rules, tax limits and interest rates change. We review articles and update key figures when rates or rules change, and each post shows a “Last Updated” date so you can see when it was last reviewed. Even so, please confirm current figures with the official source before acting.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we want to fix it. If you spot an error, please tell us through our Contact page with the page URL and, if possible, a source. We review every correction request. When we confirm an error that could affect a reader’s understanding or decisions, we correct the article and update its “Last Updated” date; for significant corrections we add a short note to the article explaining what changed.
Independence, Advertising and Affiliate Links
- We do not accept payment to publish, rank or recommend any product, and we do not sell links or paid placements inside our articles.
- The site may show advertising, such as Google AdSense. Advertisers do not see or influence our articles before publication, and ads are kept visually separate from our content. See our Privacy Policy for how ad cookies work.
- We do not currently use affiliate links. If we add them in future, they will be clearly disclosed on the page where they appear, and they will not change what we recommend.
